Seniors Festival

 
The Victorian Seniors Festival is a state-wide festival celebrating the contributions of older Victorians in our community for the month of October.  
 
This year, older Victorians can take their pick from a range of events and activities - there’s something for everyone.
 
As part of the festival, Council facilitates local activities and events during October across Cardinia Shire.

As a Victorian Seniors Card holder, you can enjoy metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria with 8 days of free public transport from Sunday 6 to Sunday 13 October.  

You’ll be able to travel for free on all public transport in Victoria, including:

  • Melbourne trains, trams and buses
  • Regional trains, coaches and buses (including regional town bus services)

Carers Morning Tea   

Do you help look after an elderly family member, friend, child or parent with an illness, addiction, disability, or mental health condition?  

Outlook Community Centre invites you to a high tea and entertainment. Show bags provided. Bring your loved one.

Royal Australian Navy Big Band (Live show and Devonshire tea)  

Enjoy a pre-show Devonshire tea, followed by a performance by the Royal Australian Navy Big Band. A dynamic ensemble, specialising in jazz and big band music. Talented musicians and vocalists will show off their versatility and skill, performing a repertoire of traditional swing, classic big band and popular music.

Cultural Day with Cardinia Senior Citizens Group    

Join Cardinia Senior Citizens Group for Punjabi folk dancing, immerse yourself in Indian cuisine, and learn about cultural festivities of Southeast Asia! Morning tea and lunch provided.  

Registrations not required, everyone welcome!

Cardinia Men’s Shed Open Day  

Display of Men’s Shed activities including woodwork, wood modelling, coin collection, art and more. All welcome. 

SPECIAL: Cardinia Men’s Shed will be accepting toys for Christmas event (new toys - no Christmas wrapping). To be distributed by the Salvation Army.

Seniors Sports Day, hosted by Cardinia Life 

Join us at Cardinia Life for a fantastic day of fun and fitness designed specifically for seniors. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to try something new, this event is perfect for all abilities.  

Get ready to enjoy a variety of sporting activities, friendly competitions and leisurely games. Stay active, socialise with fellow seniors, and experience a day filled with laughter and camaraderie.
