Club Development Workshops

Free club development workshops and trainings offered throughout the year through Council.

Club development workshops and trainings help support clubs, groups and their volunteers to become stronger and sustainable organisations and encourage more people to participate in sport, recreation and leisure activities. 

We encourage sporting clubs to have variety of members attend these workshops so the skill development and opportunities are shared across members. 

Women and Girls Sport and Participation Network - Session 1
Topic: Fair Access –  Celebrating the successes and planning for more!

  • Who should attend: This is open to network members only. If you would like to join the network, then please contact Council’s Sport and Active Recreations Development Officer by emailing sportdev@cardinia.vic.gov.au The network is open to people from all genders.

Winter Season Tenancy Forum
Prepare for winter season 2025 at this forum, covering topics including responsibilities – maintenance, safety, Fair Access, Club Development and operational requirements of winter season clubs.

  • Who should attend: It is recommended each winter club have a minimum of 1 representative attend

Club Development Workshop - Game Plan
Learn how to get the most out of Game Plan. Game Plan is a free online platform that allows sporting clubs of all sizes to get insights into their current capability in key areas of club administration, then supports ongoing club development with a suite of tools.
Delivered by the Australian Sports Commission

Club Development Workshop - Online Safety for Sports Club
Sport doesn’t just happen on the field, in the water, on a court or at the track – it's online too, and respect is still the number one rule. eSafety has online safety tips and resources to help you #PlayItFairOnline. This workshop will cover; types of harm in sport and how to deal with online harm, tips for creating a safe environment, eSafety’s reporting schemes, advice on common online issues and resources to help clubs. Delivered by eSafety Commission
