Straggling to dense spreading shrub, branchlets ribbed and hanging down. Spreading pair of thorns to 1cm at the base of leaves.

Oblong to narrow dark green leaves, wavy along one edge, midrib off centre, 8-30mm x 2-7mm, sharply pointed tip.

Single large ball-shaped flowerheads on slender stalks in each leaf axil. Narrow straight or curved pods 2-6cm x 3-5mm, densely covered in erect white hairs.
