Soft dark green leaves are divided and lobed, from 1.5-4cm x 4-30mm.

Single daisy flowerheads held above the foliage, local form tends to be pink-mauve. Massed flowering.

Moist well drained clays and shallow rocky soils in forest areas. Light frosts. Full sun, dappled and semi shade.
