Medium-sized upright to spreading tree. Thick dark brown to black deeply fissured bark.

How to indentify
Large dark green ferny leaves (paler below) divided twice and 30-40cm in size. Leaf stalks are grooved and grouped by 3-5 leaflets. New leaves rusty brown. Large clusters of pale yellow ball-shaped flowerheads at the ends of branchlets. Straight, flat dark grey pods 10-15cm long.
