- Description
- Very dense, generally evergreen, scrambler or climber, capable of smothering other plants. Wiry purplish stems, hairy when young, able to strangle soft-stemmed plants. Berries and leaves poisonous.

- How to indentify
- Pairs of bright green, egg-shaped to oblong leaves 3-8cm x 1-4cm, paler below. Pairs of highly fragrant white flowers 20-30mm long, ageing to yellow, in leaf axils at the ends of branchlets. Poisonous shiny dark red to black berries to 10mm across.

Cut dense sections of plants first, exposing the upright stems. Paint stems with poison with small infesations. Large patches can be sprayed.
