- Egg-shaped leaves 5-17cm x 2-9cm, tip pointed, strong smell when crushed. Red trumpet-shaped flowers to 25mm long in dense clusters, drooping at the ends of branches. Has red berries 10mm across.

Hand weed young plants,ensuring to remove all roots while minimising disturbance to surrounding soil. Removal of seed heads first will prevent spread of seeds. Cut and paint large mature canes.
