Position description summary
Group Volunteering- When doing Group Volunteering you support Group
Coordinators and Facilitators by providing participation assistance,
companionship, and mentorship to young people engaged in one or
more of the Group Programs. Tasks include: 1. Assisting Group
Facilitators by guiding participants through tailored group activities aimed
at enhancing essential life skills within a social learning framework. 2.
Supporting participants in practicing key skills and engaging in
community activities to promote their social inclusion, enrich their
experiences, and boost their confidence in pursuing life goals. 3.
Demonstrating understanding, encouragement, and empathy towards
the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, as well as their
families and caregivers. 4. Assist the Group Facilitator as required to
ensure events run smoothly and are safe and fun for all. Volunteer Match
(1:1 Support) 1:1 Match Volunteers work directly with children with a
disability and their families in their homes and community.
