About Solar Savers
To help Cardinia Shire residents and businesses make the switch to renewable energy and energy efficient products, and safeguard against rising energy costs, we’ve partnered with Solar Savers, a local government initiative to making quality rooftop solar and energy efficient product installation easy.
Solar Savers is a local government initiative helping households and businesses move towards clean renewable energy. Since 2018, Solar Savers has supported the installation of over 550 solar PV systems in Victoria.
By installing through Solar Savers, you can have peace of mind knowing that your installers have been independently evaluated on their safety, product quality and value for money. Solar Savers can also advise if you are eligible for rebates, grants or low interest loans.
Solar savers can introduce you to an accredited supplier of quality PV solar systems, batteries and energy efficient products (heat pump hot water systems and heating and cooling split systems), who will help you work out exactly what you need.
When you install a solar PV system or energy efficient products, you stand to increase your home or business energy efficiency and energy efficiency leads to cost efficiency.

About rebates and interest free loans
Victoria’s clean energy transition is underway, and solar is playing a big part. To support Victorians to access affordable, clean, and reliable energy, the Victorian Government has released the $1.3 billion Solar Homes Program. The program offers a $1,400 rebate to people installing a rooftop solar system. It is available to eligible homeowners, home builders, and rental providers. There are also options for an interest-free $1,400 loan for existing homes, homes under construction, and rental properties, as well as funding available for apartments with the Solar for Apartments Program.
