Council’s free waste drop off events are back for 2022!
Council’s free waste events “Detox Your Home” and “DrumMuster” are back for 2023.
Detox Your Home provides a safe, free and easy way to dispose of unwanted common, toxic household chemicals without harming your health or the environment.
The collected chemicals are safely sorted and transported to a specialist waste treatment facility. Where possible, chemicals are recycled or used for other purposes such as energy recovery.
Additionally, DrumMuster provides commercial and residential community members with disposal opportunities for eligible, cleaned agvet chemical containers.
Council’s trained staff manage the event, and organise for the drums to be collected and recycled afterwards.
