Have your say on the Community Safety Policy
Cardinia Shire Council invites the community to have your say on the Community Safety Policy. Feedback is open from 1 June – 2 July 2023.
Through the Liveability Plan consultation process, the community has said improving safety across the shire is important.
The Community Safety Policy is a key initiative within the Council Plan, aligned with priority one: Strong Communities. This policy is intended to provide a comprehensive, evidence-based framework for the way council approaches community safety, to maximise impact.
Council has already received feedback from a range of key internal and external stakeholders to develop the draft policy.
Cardinia Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Tammy Radford, encourages community members to give their feedback.
“The Community Safety Policy will provide a framework for how council can create a safer shire. We want to hear from community members about how you engage with council on safety matters and how you believe council can further its work to create a safer community,” Councillor Radford said.
“We’re committed to listening to our community, and working together to make our shire an even better place to live, work and play,” said the Mayor.
