Access council information in the language of your choice
Cardinia Shire Council offers a free interpreting service to assist community members whose first language is not English.
The Multilingual Information Line Service is designed to help residents easily access important information about council services.
This service provides residents with pre-recorded information about popular council services in their preferred languages. Users can also connect with an interpreter for a three-way conversation with council's customer service team.
The information covered by the service includes topics such as waste management and recycling, kindergarten enrolment and registration, maternal and child health, library services, and rates and payment options.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jack Kowarzik encourages community members to share this resource with others who may benefit from it.
“The Multilingual Information Line Service is a valuable resource that allows us to better assist our diverse multicultural community,” said Mayor Kowarzik. “We encourage everyone to help spread the word about this service to family, friends, and colleagues so we can continue supporting community members who wish to access council information in their preferred language.”
