Elevate your leadership journey with the Cardinia Community Leadership Program
Cardinia Shire Council invites motivated and aspiring community leaders to apply for the 2025 Cardinia Community Leadership Program (CCLP).
The annual program, funded entirely through Council, enables community members to build on their leadership capabilities, develop a greater understanding of the local area and connect with other local industry professionals.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jack Kowarzik says the CCLP offers a valuable learning and development opportunity for anyone in the community looking to strengthen their skills as a leader in their space.
“There are so many dedicated individuals with a passion for contributing positively to our community who I strongly encourage to apply” he says.
“This program is perfect for you, as you will develop practical tools and strategies that you can apply to your day to day working and social environments”.
The program runs from May to October and involves case study discussions, workshops and collaborative group work. Sessions are held at various venues across Cardinia Shire and participants are required to attend in-person.
Cardinia Shire Officer Ward Councillor, Samantha-Jane Potter completed the program last year and encourages community leaders to apply.
“I cannot recommend the program enough” says Cr Potter.
“It is interactive and involves networking and sharing insights with the other participants, that has helped me develop my skillset as a community leader.”
“I’ve enjoyed expanding on the learnings from the program and applying them in my role as elected official for our community. If you’re thinking of taking the next step in your leadership journey, I recommend applying for the CCLP”.
Applications close Sunday 20 April 2025. Visit https://www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/CLP to apply.
