Give quick and easy feedback!

Published: 16 March 2016

Council has introduced a new feedback option for the draft 2016–17 budget which residents can use quickly and easily from their mobile phone or web browser.

The quick online survey asks residents whether they are happy with Council services and which Council services they value.

The responses will provide input to the budgeting process for 2016–17 and future years. To complete the survey, use glo.link/mycardiniawww.

Mayor Cr Jodie Owen said Council wanted to be able to continue to deliver the infrastructure and services that our communities needed.

“We listened to you with the Big Budget Brainstorm at the end of last year and are happy to be working to delivering some of the projects and ideas identified but we want to continue to seek that feedback,” she said.

“This survey has been introduced this year so you can quickly and easily tell us what your priorities are and I strongly encourage you to take 30 seconds to take part – and that is all it will take, just 30 seconds!”

The draft 2016–17 budget has committed more than $36 million to new community and recreation facilities, road and footpath construction and maintenance and other significant capital. An additional $9.16 million will be spent on new and existing assets in Cardinia Shire, when compared to 2015–16. Key projects include sporting and recreation facilities in Pakenham, Officer, Lang Lang and Emerald, while road and footpath renewal and maintenance across the shire will continue to be a priority.

Each survey response supports our charity partner, SecondBite. Council will donate the cash equivalent of one meal to SecondBite for each survey response (limited to one meal per person per survey). SecondBite provides access to fresh, nutritious food for people in need across Australia.

The feedback supports SecondBite through Council’s technology partners at glowfeed.com and their FEEDBACKFORGOOD campaign.
