Your community – your say: updated community engagement policy
Council has made it even easier to ‘have your say’ and contribute to Council’s decision-making process.
At a meeting on 15 February 2021, Cardinia Shire Council adopted a new Community Engagement Policy.
We provide a range of opportunities that encourage community participation in the development of Council projects, policies and strategies.
The updated Community Engagement Policy provides a framework for Council’s community consultation process and activities.
Alongside traditional approaches to community engagement, Council introduced an online community engagement website, ‘Creating Cardinia’, in late 2019. Since then, the website has hosted 60 consultations and has had over 46,000 views.
