Have your say on Cardinia Life
Cardinia Shire Council is eager to hear your thoughts on Cardinia Life!
Cardinia Life, our premier aquatic and leisure facility, has reached its capacity and we’re proposing to redevelop it, so its facilities, programs and services meet the needs of our current and future community.
We’re seeking feedback to help inform the redevelopment planning – we want to know how people currently use Cardinia Life, what they love about the centre and what they would like to see in the future.
Constructed in 2006, Cardinia Life includes a stadium, indoor pools, health club, multi-purpose program rooms and change rooms, kiosk and retail space and a crèche.
Cardinia Shire is experiencing a growth in population and will continue to experience a significant population growth with a forecast increase of 74,054 people, this is more than 58%, between now and 2041.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Jeff Springfield said the centre has been a much-loved part of our community for more than sixteen years, and we want to keep it that way.
“While the funding to deliver the redevelopment of Cardinia Life will be sought from a variety of funding sources and the project may be delivered in stages – the time has come to plan its upgrade!
“As a community we want to work together to make Cardinia Life the best it can be. We’re bringing you along every step of the way, so you can be part of the proposed upgrade to Cardinia Life.”
“We want to know how you currently use Cardinia Life, what you value in the centre or why you don’t use it. We want to understand your future aspirations and priorities for redevelopment.”
“We’re seeking your feedback to help inform the draft design for the proposed redevelopment and to help us seek funding for this significant community asset.”
