Council acknowledges funding pledge – new Community Hub in Pakenham

Published: 21 October 2022

Ahead of the Victorian government election this November, Council is calling for continued support and funding across a range of community priorities - including better community places and services.

Cardinia Shire Council acknowledges the funding pledge of $12.5 million towards building a new community hub in Pakenham by Liberal candidate for Pakenham, David Farrelly.

The cost to build a new community facility that caters for our diverse and growing community is  estimated around $32 million. Council will continue to advocate for additional funding support from the state and federal governments to build this important community asset.

Alongside better community places and services, key priorities for the council’s advocacy efforts include better safer roads, public transport, mental health services, access to jobs, sport and recreation, outdoor spaces and protection for our environment.
